General information[]
“ | Armored assault trooper armed with dual arm-mounted flame throwers - they like to BBQ. | ” |
Pyros are quite possibly the weakest units in the game. Pyros make excellent sacrifices for Pulse Tanks, but are harder to accidentally obtain than Marines and more expensive, at 1500 .
Pyros are unlocked with a Level-3 Tech Lab. Pyros are trained in the Barracks.

Strategy[]
Pyros are really, really terrible units when it comes to lower or higher levels. They are best used behind a Sentinel. Because they are easily killed, they make great baits for towers to make Pulse Tanks turn to beast mode. Be careful in placing the squad of Sentinels/Pyros because a Tesla Tower or an X-1 Cannon can take out a Pyro in one hit. This unit can be won by completing the level 6 Barracks mission, which never needs to be completed due to new Fleet Academy building requirements.
Strengths:
- Decent damage
- Good warp size
- Embarassing for the defender
- Usefull if high leveled
Weaknesses:
- Bad health (least of any troop)
- Rate of fire makes them practically incapable of firing a single shot in most settings
- Speed is horrible
- Usually they get killed before they can do any damage whatsoever
- Range is atrocious, but probably it's best feature
